How do I get free credits?

Every new account receives $0.5. You also earn $1 for every friend who signs up with your referral code — see Invitation Rewards.

Can I use the same balance for Chat and the API?

Yes. Chat and the API draw from the same USD balance, and both appear on the Usage page.

Billing

How is usage calculated?

Each request is charged by input and output tokens at the model's price per million tokens, after any model discount and plan discount. See Pricing and Usage.

What happens when my balance runs out?

New API requests return 402 Insufficient balance and Chat asks you to top up. A request that is already streaming is allowed to finish and is billed normally.

Do credits expire?

No. Top-up credits and plan credits stay in your balance until you use them. Plan credits are added each time you subscribe or renew.

Which payment methods are supported?

Card, Alipay, WeChat Pay, UnionPay and crypto: USDT and USDC on TRON, BNB Chain, Ethereum, Base, Arbitrum and Polygon, either by wallet transfer or through our payment smart contract. Crypto top-ups are credited automatically after on-chain confirmation.

API

Is the API compatible with OpenAI?

Yes — /v1/chat/completions and /v1/models follow the OpenAI protocol. Set the base URL to http://localhost:3000/v1 in any OpenAI SDK.

Which model should I use?

Start with auto. It routes simple prompts to a fast low-cost model, code and long prompts to a flagship reasoning model, and images to a vision model. See Auto Mode.

Is my data used for training?

No. DeepNexus does not store API prompts or completions, and does not use them for training.
